John Novak is Australia’s leading mindset coach with over 25years experience. He is also an Author, Keynote Speaker, Television Presenter, Radio Host, Business strategist, Entrepreneur, Consultant and Fitness Guru.
In his early career John created, founded and produced Australia’s first Television and Video Fitness Program Aussie Fit – one of Australia’s most successful at-home-workout Programs having sold well in excess of 400,000 copies – a record that superseded competing fitness programs produced by the likes of Jane Fonda.
John is best known for creating The Boomerang Effect – an Australian first mindset coaching program for peak elite athletes and teams, schools, organisations, corporations and individuals.
John’s illustrious clients range from Olympians and world class athletes including James Magnussen – 2 times World Swimming Champion and Silver Medallist at the London Olympics, Melissa Wu – 4 times Olympian in 10m diving, bound for this year’s Tokyo Games, Nick Rizzo – Australian Soccer Representative, Nancy Kemp-Arendt – Tri-athlete and now Politician in Luxembourg , David Warner – Superstar Australian Cricketer; as well as sporting teams, organisations, corporations, individuals, families, schools and governments
Notable coaching achievements include his role as Mindset Coach to NRL Manly Sea Eagles leading the team to Premiership winners in 2011 and was appointed the role of Head of Mind Management – the first full time role of its kind in any sport in which led the team to two Premiership grand final appearances in 2012 and 2014. In 2012, the team won the minor premiership.
In parallel to his fitness industry, John undertook tertiary education and successfully completed several degrees including Bachelor of Arts at University of NSW, Masters of Political Science at George Washington University in the USA and then qualified as a practicing Lawyer from The University of Sydney. and In 2009 he completed a Diploma of Health Counselling (which is formally recognised on the Medical Register of Australia). He is one of the only practitioners in his field to have both extensive practical experience paired with formal tertiary education.
John trained in martial arts since the age of 11 and is an accomplished Karate 3rd Dan Black Belt holder. He is well known for beating Dolph Lundgren Rocky IV movie star in a NSW heavyweight Karate championship.
At 15 years of age, John played representative rugby and soccer for Sydney Croatia. John retired from both sports to pursue Karate exclusively and still to this day practices his art.
